Our top 5 Local Star reviews
Damian O’Keeffe
Over the past couple of months our Local Stars have been providing TrueLocal with a huge amount of in depth reviews. In fact, well over 500 reviews have been added in just the last 8 weeks and there have been some real gems.
My personal favourite comes from Alison who, in reviewing Australia’s most renowned restaurant, Tetsuya’s, suggested that Tetsuya Wakuda’s signature dish reminds her of 2 minute noodle flavouring. You can read Alison’s review here.
One of the perks of being a Local Star is the occasional free dinner or drinks at some of the newest, coolest places around. One such place is Iceworks in Brisbane. Daabido stretched our word limit with his in depth review.
Bronwen from Boronia has Melbourne covered from the best Salvo’s stores to the best junk food. Check her review of Misty’s Diner, we think it’s as good as Matt Preston’s review!
Kelly’s our expert from Adelaide (who has her own review of Tetsuya’s) and will point you in the right direction almost anywhere you can think of in Radelaide, as well as a few places in other capital cities including a great review of Melbourne’s Vue de Monde. Kelly also takes the prize for reviewing the most oddly named café we can find, Doof Doof We Know Food Backwards.
Then there’s robstein, he’s got Melbourne’s pubs, bars and restaurants covered. But what’s the one review that sticks out? His review of Robbie’s Stein. Surely they should have shouted their namesake a beer on his birthday!
